What's New in The World of Safety!

The Safety Company, Inc. spent the first portion of 2002  in New York City, at The World Trade Center Emergency Response Project commonly known as Ground Zero.  We had many of our best people on site who put their lives at risk making the project efforts safe.

The Vice President of The Safety Company, Inc. and a team of safety professionals was on site from January thru April, 2002 to manage confined spaces and provide contractor safety monitoring services.  The Safety Company, Inc. was on site to help keep workers from getting injured during the recovery efforts.

It was a difficult task for all those who worked to achieve timely project completion without severe injuries to themselves or fellow workers.  To the families who have been supportive of their efforts, we say Bravo.   For all are heros.

How can you protect your employees?

  • Implement or update your workplace emergency response plan.
  • Be informed and keep your employees aware of what to look for.
  • Practice emergency and/or evacuation drills.
  • Notify your County Health Department of unusual patterns of illness.
  • Use reliable sources to confirm information on biological or chemical threats.
