Machine Guarding incidents involving the absence of/or inadequate guarding frequently result in extremely serious and disabling injuries. Learn how to identify the hazardous areas on equipment that require guarding. Discussion on the OSHA, NFPA and ANSI requirements regarding guarding and effective programs in place already.
OSHA requires guarding for any machine part, function, or process which may cause injury must be safeguarded. When the operation of a machine or accidental contact with it can injure the operator or others in the vicinity, the hazards must be either controlled or eliminate.
