Job Safety Analysis


The objective of this course is to educate employees and other personnel regarding the basics of Job Safety Analysis, it's basic concepts, it's development process, and its function as part of an overall safety program.

Job safety analysis is a key element in the overall safety management program.

Job safety analysis is a simple, effective technique for controlling or eliminating hazards and preventing accidental occurrences and illnesses.

The process of developing a job safety analysis enables employees to identify task related hazards and to establish safer work procedures that management endorses, improving workplace safety, productivity and quality.

Upon completion of this course the participant will be able to:

bullet Write clear, observable steps for each task
bullet Identify and write down the potential hazards of these task steps
bullet Make recommendations to correct these hazards
bullet Conduct a job safety analysis for a task in their own facility

Each participant will receive a student workbook and certificate of completion.
