As of December 31, 1999, OSHA 29 CFR 1910.178 training requirements were changed. All powered hand truck and forklift operators need to be certified every two years.
Who Needs Training?
Every employee who operates a powered hand truck or forklift truck.
Topics Include:
The course is designed so that the first 1/2 of the day is classroom instruction followed by a written test. The second 1/2 of the course is an individual hands-on driving evaluation at your facility.
Pre-trip Inspection Operating Procedures Basic lift Truck Principles Pedestrian Safety, Safe Fueling Procedures Each participant will receive course materials, and a wallet size certificate of completion.
